![]() Top of my pckellerjoysticks file looks like this: Looking in Device Manager or using a program called usbdeview, the VID is 045e and the PID is 0b12. Been using it connected by usb to my pc for a year or so now with no issue in other games. I'm on Windows 10, using a current Xbox Controller, the kind built for the current generation of Series X and S Xboxes. I've always had trouble getting the game to work with Xbox controllers but always succeeded following the kind of hexadecimal digging talked about here, but not this time. I'm trying to get this working again for the first time in years but I'm having no luck. Cause i got it correct and everything to no avail I changed the right file made you the decimals are right example You also need to edit the right file, which for me is D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Rainbow Six Vegas 2\KellerGame\Config\PCKellerJoysticks.iniĪlso, follow the directions above and replace the ProductName, VendorID, ProductID, and add the UseXInput lines between and - dont' try to add it to the end of the file like I did. The conversion will appear right away next to "DEC" So, in this case, since I had the same vendor ID, I typed in 45E (or you can click the buttons on the calculator app). Then, click on HEX on the left, and enter the hex code - leading zeros are just placeholders, so you don't need them. When the calculator opens, change it to developer mode using the menu icon in the top left corner. Windows key + R, type calc, press enter / click OK. Tip - you can also use calculator in Windows to do the hex to decimal conversion if you don't want to pull up a website. Your file should look like this with YOUR controllers Vendor ID and Product ID ![]() You should see something like HID\VID_045E&PID_02FF&IG_00Ĭonvert these Hexadecimals to decimals here Īnd past into the PCKellerJoysticks.ini file click the drop down and select hardware ID's copy the value you to note pad ![]() Device deiscription should be displayed first copy the value into ProductNameĥ. click hardware tab select XINPUT compatible HID device click propertiesĤ. right click the controller you want to use select propertiesģ. \Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and PrintersĢ. If RSV2 was open while you were changing the IDs you'll have to restart it, but after restarting you should be able to turn your controller on in the settings. Lastly, input your converted VID and PID values into the PCKellerJoysticks file, and make sure to add "UseXInput=True" at the bottom of whichever you chose to use. I got an excel spreadsheet that does it at but I believe google will do it too The program shows them in hexadecimal so you need to convert them Run that program, find your controller, scroll over to the VID and PID There's a program you can download that will tell you your controller's VID and PID at (download is at the bottom of the page) You'll need to change the VID and PID of any of the ""s to match your controller Open the file Steam>SteamApps>common>Rainbow Six Vegas 2>KellerGame>Config>PCKellerJoystics I'm posting this after two hours of browzing threads and trying to find my outdated controller's IDs.
